Job Summary
Responsible for the daily operations, personnel management, financial reporting, and safety regulations directly related to a store including production facility and onsite warehouse if applicable.


Essential Functions:
Oversee all aspects of the customer experience.
Develop and implement business strategies to achieve sales budget for store and E-commerce.
Create and implement effective lines of communication throughout the store including support and maintenance of an open door policy.
Create and cultivate a store environment where diversity is valued.
Assemble and develop a high performing team and succession plan.
Stimulate growth in self and others through coaching, training and development discussions and activities.
Provide guidance to store management and supervisors on staffing decisions and critical human resources issue in partnership with the Human Resources department.
Oversee and coordinate production and merchandising of donated to meet store needs.
Oversee and coordinate warehouse management and distribution of inventory.
Oversee the disposal of garbage, recycling and hazardous waste materials in a cost-saving manner and according to applicable regulations (Dearborn location only).
Engage in regular communication with Production Manager on successes and opportunities including quality, pricing, and merchandising criteria.
Assist new store openings with produced merchandise as needed.
Support Kaizen events and processes in partnership with Production Manager.
Ensure that all store administrative functions are carried out quickly and efficiently.
Assist in the development of budgets for the store and production (including the warehouse – Dearborn location only).
Ensure the timely execution of company and in-store promotions and events.
Ensure that store maintenance and Loss Prevention practices are achieved.
Uphold safe work practices in support of a safety culture through awareness and observation; train and educate employees of safety requirements; reports any potential hazards or accidents.
Ensure accurate new goods receiving and inventories.
Partner effectively with all other departments at Seattle Goodwill.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience as a manager of a high volume store. Demonstrated ability to access and develop talent. Demonstrated time management, prioritization and organizational skills. Demonstrated high level of integrity. Experience with basic accounting practices and bookkeeping.
Specific Skills/Knowledge/Licenses: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Familiarity with time-keeping software. Ability to learn new software as appropriate and necessary to the job.


Essential Physical Abilities:
Must be able to: lift, and carry for short distances, up to 30 lbs. Must have well-developed fine motor control and the ability to grasp, handle, finger and manipulate small and large items. Must have full range of body motion with the ability to reach above head, stoop, bend, and squat. Must be able to: perform repetitive fine motor functions with fingers, wrists and arms, without pain or loss of function. Able to travel across a wide variety of surfaces including, but not limited to, ramps, stairs, and uneven terrain. Able to use a standard telephone and wireless audio communication system; sit or stand for moderately long periods of time, communicate clearly and effectively with a wide variety of people, including those with limited English skills. Must be able to maintain reliable attendance.

Working Conditions:
Various environments to include retail, production and warehouse if applicable. Moderate to high noise level, dust. This position requires ability to work flexible schedule to meet business needs including evenings and weekend shifts.
